Beijing, China’s massive capital, has history stretching back 3 millennia. Yet it’s known as much for its modern architecture as its ancient sites such as the grand Forbidden City complex, the imperial palace during the Ming and Qing dynasties. Nearby, the massive Tiananmen Square pedestrian plaza is the site of Mao Zedong’s mausoleum and the National Museum of China, displaying a vast collection of cultural relics.

Tiananmen Square- is a large city square in the center of Beijing, China, named after the Tiananmen Gate (Gate of Heavenly Peace) located to its North, separating it from the Forbidden City. Tiananmen Square is the third largest city square in the world (440,000 m² – 880m by 500m). It has great cultural significance as it was the site of several important events in Chinese history.
The Forbidden City – home of Chinese emperors for more than 500 years, was the imperial palace from the Ming Dyna sty to the end of the Qing Dynasty. It is the largest imperial palace all over the world.

The Great Wall of China which is the longest man-made object in the world is known as one of the only two human engineering projects visible by astronauts from space with naked eyes, a symbol of Chinese civilization.
BEIJING OLYMPIC GREEN PARK
The core area where the 2008 Olympic Games were held. This urban cultural and scope was built to fully display the three ideas of Green Olympics, Sci-tech Olympics and People’s Olympics of 29th Summer Olympic Games. The Park consists of “Bird’s Nest”, “Water Cube”, national stadium, forest park. A 60-meter-wide road penetrates the public region from south to north. In the center, an 11-meter-wide road is paved in imitation of the axis of the Forbidden City, which embodies the passing of the Chinese traditional.

The Summer Palace in Beijing – first built in 1750, largely destroyed in the war of 1860 and restored on its original foundations in 1886 – is a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design. The natural landscape of hills and open water is combined with artificial features such as pavilions, halls, palaces, temples and bridges to form a harmonious ensemble of outstanding aesthetic value.
